Cryolipolysis for weight loss and figure correction

Cryolipolysis is a modern technique that allows you to get rid of excess subcutaneous fat without surgery. Its second name is cryoliposuction.
How does cryolipolysis work
This method is based on various properties of body cells. So, if skin cells are resistant to cold, since they are designed to protect the body from external influences and low temperatures, then adipose tissue cells die under the direct influence of extreme cold.
The cryolipolysis device has a special attachment that sucks the skin and applies cold to it for some time (the temperature during the procedure reaches -5⁰ C). This effect on a specific area lasts 1 hour.
You should not expect instant changes from cryoliposuction. The destruction and resorption of cells will occur gradually, over two and sometimes four months, while the first results and external changes can be seen a couple of weeks after the procedure.
Indications for cryolipolysis
The procedure is shown to the following groups:
- obese people who are used to moving little, do not exercise, and eat a lot of high-calorie foods and sweets. Often in such cases we are talking about family habits that a person adopts from relatives;
- people who have a malfunction of the hypothalamus. Then the person begins to eat much more food than he actually needs;
- patients who have metabolic disorders and a malfunction of the endocrine system, which causes them to become obese;
- people whose obesity is caused by mental disorders.
Contraindications to cryoliposuction
Procedures are contraindicated:
- for severe obesity;
- during pregnancy;
- when pathological reactions of the body to low temperature are observed (manifests, for example, in the form of cold urticaria);
- if the patient has a pacemaker;
- if there are wounds, scars and other damage to the skin in the place where the procedure is expected to be performed;
- Raynaud's syndrome.
Benefits of cryolipolysis for weight loss and figure correction
- There is minimal impact on the body, since no surgical intervention occurs.
- There is no influence of medications or anesthesia, since there is an external influence.
- The procedure helps remove fat in certain places and problem areas.
- To achieve a good result, 3-4 procedures lasting 1 hour are usually sufficient.
Disadvantages of cryoliposuction
- The result is noticeable only after a few months.
- There are contraindications.
- Not all salons perform the cryoliposuction procedure. It is not very widespread yet.
- Quite a high cost of the procedure.
How is the cryoliposuction procedure performed
The patient sits down on the couch. A special gel is applied to problem areas that require removal of excess fat. The cryolipolysis machine attachment is applied to the area where there is excess subcutaneous fat. The fold of skin is pulled into the nozzle and the cold begins to affect it.
At first there may be an unpleasant cooling sensation in the problem area, but this soon passes and the patient can read, sleep or do other activities within the next hour. At the same time, a vibration massage procedure is performed on the problem area to maintain normal blood circulation.
Side effects
Sometimes after the procedure, bruises or red spots may form on the skin in the problem area due to hypothermia. In some cases, there may be soreness or numbness in certain areas that have been exposed to the cold. But all these symptoms gradually disappear and do not require treatment.
Cryolipolyz is an excellent alternative to surgical liposuction, since it has minimal impact on the body and helps to achieve good results in figure correction.
