Construction: assembly strip foundation

The foundation of a prefabricated structure is used in low-rise housing construction, in particular for country houses on several floors with a basement. This type of foundation is not suitable for clay soils; it is installed on sandy soils. Compared to the construction of a monolithic foundation, in this case the construction process is more labor-intensive and costly.
To carry out the work, additional labor and special transport are required. The structural elements of the prefabricated foundation have a mass of about 350 kilograms; accordingly, they require the use of lifting construction equipment for loading, unloading and installation of building materials.
For the construction of country cottages, a prefabricated strip-type foundation is most often used. In this case, the base structure is made of concrete blocks and consists of continuous, separate concrete strips under the load-bearing walls of the structure. A sand cushion is installed under the concrete blocks (slabs).
The main advantage of constructing such a foundation is that it is formed from ready-made reinforced concrete blocks, as a result, installation work is completed as quickly as possible, and immediately upon completion, you can begin construction of the structure itself.
Technology for the construction of prefabricated strip foundations:
- preparatory work: calculation of the parameters of the trench for the foundation (length, width, depth);
- preparing trenches around the perimeter of the building, under the internal walls;
- arrangement of a sand cushion in trenches;
- waterproofing of the base - a dense PVC film is laid on top of the sand cushion;
- installation of reinforced concrete blocks;
- re-arrangement of the sand cushion, waterproofing layer.

The number of masonry blocks is determined by the load that the building will transmit.
In Kiev and the Kiev region with excavation work to develop a pit and trenches for a strip (prefabricated) foundation for a house, you will be assisted by the Excavator UA company, which has a fleet of special equipment necessary to perform such work.
The organization’s pricing policy sets it apart from similar offers from competing construction companies.
