Vacation and recreation in the Carpathians

The road leads to Skhidnitsa through Lviv. There is also an option - traveling by train Carpathians Kyiv - Truskavets, but with a transfer to a bus in Truskavets.

Pylypets

This area in the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine is a popular ski resort. Today, last-minute tours from Kyiv to Pylypets are sold out in a matter of hours. And in the summer, the village attracts tourists with its beauty, the famous “Shepit” waterfall, which in Russian sounds like “whisper”. Seven kilometers from Pylypets there is a spring that has unique healing properties. There is everything that vacationers need: hotels, restaurants, spas, cafes - this guarantees a comfortable pastime. The prices at the resort still never cease to please.

Shayan

The village is located near Khust in Transcarpathia. Its calling card is the Tisza River, along the banks of which there are a large number of sanatoriums and hotel camps. Shayan is no exception: a characteristic landscape, mild climate, forested mountains, river lakes. Shayan is also called “Ukrainian Switzerland”. Like all the Carpathians, the village is famous for its healing mineral waters, which improve the health of vacationers.

Verkhovyna

A colorful region in which the Hutsuls live, an extraordinary ethnic group of the Ukrainian people - all this is the village of Verkhovyna, surrounded by the three highest mountains of the Carpathians, among which is Hoverla - the highest point in Ukraine. Fans of extreme holidays on vacation, in addition to hiking in the mountains and climbing Goverla, are offered a tour down the local Black Cheremosh River on kayaks or inflatable boats.

For lovers of a measured and relaxing holiday, Verkhovyna will give you the opportunity to go fishing, wander through the forest for mushrooms and berries. If you want to get to know the ethnic characteristics of the Hutsuls better, then you will not be disappointed by the famous Dovbush rock, museums and iconic places where the filming of the film “Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors” took place.

The obvious advantage of this resort is that most excursions are free. Horseback riding, river rafting, tours of the Carpathians, historical sites - all this is either free or at a reasonable price. You can get to these beauties from Ivano-Frankivsk, from where a minibus runs every hour.
