When is Mother's Day in Ukraine?

Mom for all people is the most dear and beloved person in life. It is Mom who gives us life. In honor of mothers, poems are composed and songs filled with lyrics are performed. The word Mom absolutely deserves to be written with a capital letter, because thanks to this person our human race continues. It is not surprising, and one might say, quite naturally, that in honor of beloved mothers there is a holiday - Mother's Day. This holiday is unique in its significance in the life of every family.

This wonderful celebration is celebrated in all countries of the world nowadays, the only thing that differs is the date of the holiday.

For example, in Russia Mother's Day falls in the autumn of November. According to the government decision, the holiday is celebrated on the last Sunday of November.

What date is Mother's Day in Ukraine?

In our country, the holiday Mother's Day in Ukraine takes place in the spring. According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, this is May 14. According to established regulations, Mother's Day in Ukraine always falls in the month of May. And the date is determined quite simply - the second Sunday of May. Every year the date of the holiday changes to a different date, but the traditions of celebrating and honoring mothers always remain the same.

It is also worth noting that for Ukrainians Mother's Day is a significant event of the year. On this day, all Ukrainian mothers will hear heartfelt words filled with affection and respect. Even those seemingly rude and careless children who, on gray days, are embarrassed to tell their mother how loved and dear she is to them, on this holiday say cherished words, words of respect and reverence, words of love, thereby evoking notes of tenderness in their mothers.< /p>

For the holiday, all the women’s favorite dishes are always prepared, flowers are given, children try to surprise their mother and prepare as many different gifts as possible.

Remember that only children can give Mother so much warmth and love that will be noticeable to the whole world.

In everyday, busy life, children often forget their parents. As we age, we are consumed by our problems, and sometimes we forget about those who were always with us in the most difficult moments of life, supported us with words, and approved of all our children’s affairs. Naturally, it is not enough to simply express respect and love to mothers once a year on Mother’s Day. The holiday should serve as a statement to our women about how loved they are by us and how dear they are to their children.
