Instant Coffee – Pros and Cons

Instant coffee pros and cons

Instant coffee is one of the most popular drinks on the planet. Despite the fact that a true coffee lover always prefers to drink natural coffee, its instant counterpart is in great demand. The reasons are clear and understandable - ease of preparation and affordable price. But is it wise to save at the expense of health?

Why is a soluble product bad?

Surprisingly, it is much easier for absolutely everyone to list the advantages than the disadvantages of “fast” coffee. Let us explain why the instant drink is a priori of low quality. So, the manufacturing technology is directly related, as in the case of a natural product, with the method of grinding and cooking. The rule is simple: the duration of digestion of the raw material and its transition to a liquid state depends on the grinding of the grain. When producing a soluble product, an impressive amount of chemical components and various softening agents are always added to the water. Next, the coffee is brewed for 8-9 hours at a temperature of 100 C.

The result is quite predictable: you get a steam-dried, almost tasteless powder. There is nothing in it that can have a beneficial effect on your well-being. When pouring granules into a cup, know that boiling water will be filled with a mixture of flavors, flavorings and concentrates. It is not surprising that the finished drink has a mediocre taste and only harms the body.

The effect of coffee on the body

It just so happens that instant coffee is most often used for quick awakening. It is quick and easy to prepare, and is much cheaper than natural grains. It would seem, what kind of harm can we talk about if a drink beloved by millions has only a stimulating effect? Let's talk about this in more detail.

Cardiovascular system

It's no secret that all organ systems are tightly connected to each other. The human body is a kind of web, each of the links of which is an extremely important component. Drinking instant coffee leads to active stimulation of the nervous system and the motor of our body - the heart. Just one cup is enough to cause a strong increase in heart rate, which is why drinking coffee is highly not recommended for those suffering from hypertension, cardiac ischemia and related ailments.< /p>

Digestive organs

Coffee is rich in substances that increase acidity, which causes significant harm to the body. Regular consumption of the drink can lead to the development of gastric ulcers, liver and pancreas pathologies. Connoisseurs of natural coffee should not be upset: only instant product has such a negative effect on the gastrointestinal tract.

Urinary system

Don't want to suffer from dehydration? Avoid low-quality instant coffee. By using a natural analogue, you will not experience such a powerful diuretic effect.

Beauty

You have probably noticed more than once a strange yellowish coating on your teeth, although you admired your snow-white smile in the morning. What's the problem? By any chance, not in two cups of coffee drunk before lunch? Don't be fooled by the fact that coffee is often used in cosmetology. As much as it is beneficial for the skin, it is equally harmful to the teeth. The enamel quickly stains and acquires a yellowish tint, which is quite difficult to remove. In case of prolonged abuse of the drink, only a dentist can help whiten your teeth.

Pregnancy

The negative impact of coffee on the health of pregnant women is not speculation, but a long-proven scientific fact. If a woman continues to drink 4 cups of drink a day during this period, the likelihood of miscarriage increases by an average of 35%. If you limit yourself to just 2 cups, the risk percentage is significantly reduced - to 17%. You should completely give up coffee at 20 weeks of pregnancy, when the components of the drink have a particularly pronounced effect on the fetus and the woman’s body

After all of the above, a reasonable question arises: is it worth poisoning yourself with a frankly low-quality product because of the banal saving of time and money? Why cause such harm to health and the body when you can simply choose a natural product over a soluble product?
